Empower your practice by enhancing your metaskills
As we learn Shiatsu, we borrow knowledge and skillsets from masters, study complex philosophy from texts and partake in a very experiential learning process. We also bring our own personal metaskills to this body of wisdom. These skills are already part of us, and are what makes each of us practise a very unique Shiatsu, and are not always valued as much as they could be.
In this workshop we will each explore and try to identify some of our metaskills and find ways to develop them further. The aim is to bring more confidence and authenticity to your practice, and look to validate you, as an individual, as much as possible in the role of practitioner. I consider that most of our professional body seek to support clients in their own empowerment, as regards realising their full potential, being it in their health or otherwise. And for me it makes sense for us to empower ourselves equally in our shiatsu role.
In the workshop there will be space to explore our skills, individually and in small groups, as ideas and of course while doing shiatsu. In my workshops I propose a strong emphasis on peer support and I use many elements from my training as a group facilitator and work with learning communities.
